It’s about effing time Time+Tide started selling Bark & Jack NATO straps!
Jamie WeissAdrian Barker is a man of multitudes: a coffee lover, one of the three amigos that were About Effing Time, and the founder of Bark & Jack, one of the most popular watch YouTube accounts… As well as one of the most popular purveyors of watch straps. In an age where every YouTuber or internet celebrity is rushing to sell their own (often dubious quality) merch, Bark & Jack’s NATO straps stand out as singularly good products.
Indeed, putting a Bark & Jack strap on your timepiece has become somewhat of a rite of passage for many watch collectors – as well as a signal to other watch aficionados of your aficionado status. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been to a watch event and scoped people wearing all sorts of watches on Bark & Jack straps.
About Effing Time might be no more but we’re still good mates with Adrian, and we’re proud to announce that Time+Tide is now Bark & Jack’s first official distributor. We’ll be stocking a select range of Bark & Jack NATO straps in our Melbourne Discovery Studio and online.
The first range of straps we’ll be stocking is Bark & Jack’s new Seventy30 range, which as the name implies, is a weave made from 70% man-made fibres – giving the strap strength and durability – plus 30% natural cotton, which gives the strap a matte look and a soft, supple feel. There’s a bit of a vintage, almost aged vibe to these straps – I reckon they’ll wear very well.
We’ll also be stocking Bark & Jack’s ribbed nylon straps, which are made from high-strength ballistic nylon. The ribbed pattern bolsters the strap, looks good and feels good too. These are some seriously robust straps, with the nylon measuring up at 1.4mm thick and boasting heat-sealed holes. NATO armies would’ve been jealous of these during the Cold War.
You’ll also be able to find Bark & Jack’s tubular nylon straps in our store, which feature a classic look and come in a range of colours. Actually, all the different strap types come in a range of colours, and all feature brushed 316L stainless steel hardware with Back & Jack branding on them. They’ll suit a wide range of watches, from field watches and dive watches to chronographs and GMTs.
Each Bark & Jack NATO strap retails for A$46 in the Time+Tide Shop or in our Melbourne Discovery Studio
