New releases from anOrdain, Baltic, Audemars Piguet and more

The theme of many of this week’s releases is a return to more vintage proportions: Audemars Piguet releasing a more compact Code 11.59, Baltic introducing a new GADA (Go Anywhere, Do Anything) watch at just 37mm and anOrdain offering an innovative enamel dial in a 39mm case… But those with more substantial wrists need not worry. Among the best releases of the last seven days, there is also something for you, with names like HYT and Seiko catering to larger paws.

Vario Empire True GMT

• This is the first take on an elegant, Art Deco-inspired GMT from the Singaporean microbrand Vario
• The dial is the real star of the show, which features pastel colours and tasteful guilloche
• Its 38mm compact case houses a Miyota 9075, an automatic ‘true’ GMT movement

Longines Spirit Flyback Titanium

• The first Longines Spirit Flyback to use grade 5 titanium
• It looks nearly identical to the anthracite dial steel model but is distinguished with red dial accents
• The titanium model carries a US$650 premium over its steel counterpart

anOrdain Model 3 Method

• Produced in collaboration with Scottish master woodworkers Method Studio, this model spent four years in development
• The stamped, wood carving-inspired dial is covered by translucent enamel, the signature speciality of the Scottish brand
• The 39mm Model 3 case, which features minimalist lugs, has the sole function of framing the art on the dial

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Moon

• JLC releases a new iteration of their Master Ultra Thin Moon with a pink gold case and an elegant gradient blue dial
• The 39mm wide and just 9.3mm thick case houses the self-winding Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 925
• It comes with a matching blue alligator strap that perfectly complements the smoky blue of the dial

Baltic Hermétique Tourer

• The Hermétique Tourer is an adventurous take on a field watch, paying attention to Baltic’s vintage aesthetics
• It’s water resistant to 150m even with a slender 10.8mm thickness, including a 2.5mm domed sapphire crystal
• The 37mm diameter case houses a Miyota 9000-series movement

HYT Hastroid Red Silver

• This alien-looking timepiece this time comes with a red liquid filling that really pops against the dark backdrop
• Inspired by a cockpit, the dial has been redesigned to increase readability, including a bright red minute hand
• The 48 x 52.3mm case is composed of carbon and titanium elements, displayed in various finishes

Seiko Prospex Landmaster 30^th Anniversary Limited Edition

• This celebratory field watch features a blue gradient dial inspired by the view from the top of Mount Everest
• With a case made of Grade 2 Titanium, hard coated to protect from scratches, it’s made to withstand the elements
• Powered by the automatic calibre 8L35, it is a limited edition of 1,000 pieces

Biver La Danse du Temps

• Pierre & Jean-Claude Biver have decided to create a unique piece for the Salón Internacional Alta Relojería México as a tribute for the Day of the Dead
• Developed in collaboration with the Mexican artist Joel Niño, it depicts two ‘Calaveras’ on an onyx dial
• This is the first time their Carillon Tourbillon has been presented in rose gold

Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 38mm

• The Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet is now presented in 38mm for the first time
• The stamped dials that debuted on the steel models appear again in new purple and ivory hues
• It’s a strictly precious-metal, time-and-date-only offering – at least for now

Montblanc x Collective Horology 1858 Minerva Monopusher Chronograph

• Independent retailer Collective Horology partners with Montblanc on a stop-watch-inspired chronograph
• The white glossy dial with cream subdials is double-signed by both Montblanc and Minerva
• Limited to just 33 pieces, it is powered by a hand-wound, decorated calibre MB M13.21, based on a calibre from 1923
