New releases from TAG Heuer, Tudor, Naoya Hida and more
Pietro PillaTAG Heuer bringing back the Formula 1 with Kith was the biggest news item this week, but in this week’s selection, you’ll also find some iconic collections from established brands such as Bulgari and Tissot getting an expansion; a funky new automotive-inspired independent brand’s first watch; a carbon fibre cyclist’s chronograph from Tudor and Naoya Hida finally reopening sales by adding a few releases to the existing collection.

Naoya Hida NH Type 5A
- Noted Japanese independent Naoya Hida is adding four new releases to its core collection, including its first rectangular watch.
- The angular Type 5A features a two-part case with a three-dimensional box-shaped sapphire crystal.
- The dial is crafted from German silver: its numerals and indices are hand engraved and filled with black cashew ink.

ALTO ART 01
- Meet microbrand ALTO’s inaugural release, the ART 01, which features a design inspired by the wedge design of 1970s concept cars like the Aston Martin Bulldog or Ferrari 512S Modulo.
- A very 70s faceted sapphire crystal tops a unique louvred brass dial that calls to mind classical or brutalist architecture
- It’s powered by a Cercle des Horlogers-developed in-house micro-rotor calibre and features a seconds hand that runs in reverse (the hour and minute hands run conventionally clockwise).

Hanhart Preventor9 S Limited Production
- Hanhart releases a blacked-out, PVD-coated model inspired by a historic Hanhart model from the 1950s.
- The black dial with white print and Super-LumiNova C3 paint features a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock.
- The watch will be available in 100 pieces for 2024: further production has yet to be confirmed.

Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono “Cycling Edition”
- Tudor has created a cycling-themed Pelagos FXD, specifically engineered for Tudor Pro Cycling Team riders, who are set to compete in the 2024 Giro d’Italia.
- It features a 43mm black matt-finished carbon composite case with fixed strap bars, titanium hardware, a one-piece fabric strap and red highlights.
- Uniquely, the tachymeter scale along its rehaut is calibrated to the speeds that pro cyclists compete at rather than the speeds cars are capable of, as is usual for most chronographs.

Bulgari Aluminium 2024 Editions
- Bulgari gets ready for summer by adding three new models to the Aluminium collection.
- The three new editions are a GMT in a classic black, cream and red configuration; a green chrono, and a full white time-only model.
- All three watches share an aluminium case and a rubber articulated strap matching the tones of the watch.

H. Moser & Cie Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition Pink Livery
- Moser releases another collaboration with F1 team Alpine, also capturing the second livery colours on the strap and dial of the Streamliner used for the first edition.
- Introduced on the occasion of the Miami Grand Prix, this time the star of the show is the deep pink synthetic corundum subdial at 12 o’clock.
- Available exclusively through Moser’s e-commerce platform, this specific colourway will be limited to just 20 pieces, plus an additional piece auctioned for charity.
Tissot PRX Collection Expansion
- Tissot expands its PRX collection with five new models: an automatic chronograph, two Powermatic models and two quartz models.
- The chrono and the two automatics feature a ‘Tapisserie’ finish on the dial: olive green for the former and mint green for the latter two.
- The two new quartz models, both in the 35mm size, have a brushed pink dial and a mother-of-pearl dial.

TAG Heuer Formula 1 Kith
- TAG Heuer and lifestyle brand Kith revive the Formula 1 as it was in 1986, along with the original case material.
- The collection consists of ten limited-edition colourways, some exclusive to TAG Heuer and others to Kith.
- Powered by quartz movements, the Formula 1 Kith will retail for CHF 1,500, or CHF 18,000 for the 75-piece run of the collector’s box with all ten watches.

The Trio of Time + Actual Source Thermal
- The Trio of Time and Actual Source partner to release a watch inspired by the patterns of thermal printing.
- The watch uses the unique typeface “Thermal”, which was designed for Virgil Abloh’s Re-Creation Center at Nike Lab Chicago in 2019.
- The 39mm, 8.7mm thick case is paired with an integrated leather strap for maximum comfort.

- Bamford London and Ace Jewelers partner for a fun edition where the customer doesn’t have to worry about the first scratch.
- The black PVD-coated titanium case has a unique patina different in all 50 pieces.
- This field watch features a ghost dial, with a vignette beige background and beige Arabic numerals.

Nomos Tangente 38 Date
- Nomos Glahshütte has let loose with the colour wheel for its latest pieces, celebrating 175 years of watchmaking in Glashütte with 31 colourful versions of the Tangente 38.
- Each colourway is limited to 175 pieces and focuses on one of Nomos Glashütte’s best-selling models.
- This time, the Tangente 38 is fitted with a hand-wound DUW4101 movement, bringing the addition of a large date window at 6 o’clock.

CIGA Design Central Tourbillon Mount Everest Homage Edition
- Chinese design firm CIGA Design launches an exceedingly competitively priced central tourbillon timepiece.
- The watch commemorates the 70th anniversary of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay’s ascent of Mount Everest.
- While the central tourbillon dominates the dial, other elements like the ice axe-shaped hands and a genuine Everst rock dial add some additional charm.
