New releases from Glashütte Original, Biver, Louis Vuitton and more
Pietro PillaNo one seems to rest after the enormous amount of releases we saw the past week. Most brands continue to strike while the iron is hot, and we are still seeing impressive releases in the last seven days, with (relatively) conservative and some more future-oriented ones. Small and big brands are equally active in this period, with some delectable special editions thrown into the mix. Enjoy reading!
Louis Vuitton Escale à Asnières Pocket Watch
- Louis Vuitton shows off all its artistry in a 50mm pocket watch depicting its historic trunk-making workshop in Asnières.
- The 18k pink gold case houses La Fabrique du Temps’ calibre LFT AU14.01.
- To decorate the front and back of the watch, the Maison hired enlisted two industry icons, master engraver Dick Steenman and master enameller Anita Porchet.

Biver Automatique
- Jean-Claude and Pierre Biver (and James Marks) launch the Automatique, the brand’s take on a high-end daily wearer.
- It’s equipped with a Dubois Dépraz-developed micro-rotor calibre with a crazy amount of hand-finishing.
- Prices start at CHF 75,000, with four dial options in either rose gold or platinum cases.

Glashütte Original SeaQ Chronograph
- Glashütte Original chooses a minimalist black and white look for the new SeaQ Chronograph.
- The silver dial features a matte silver finish obtained by galvanizing the surface to reduce light dispersion and increase contrast.
- Even if the initial look does not include colours, the customer can choose from a multitude of different straps to best express themselves.

Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Chronograph “Shades of Grey”
- Audemars Piguet expands the Code 11.59 collection with a complicated skeleton timepiece.
- The Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Chronograph, first introduced in 2020, is now in a greyscale colour scheme.
- While the mid-case is made of hand-finished black ceramic, the bezel and the lugs do offer some contrast thanks to the 18k white gold composition.
Tissot PRX 40 Powermatic 80 Forged Carbon
- The 40mm PRX Powermatic 80 gets a dial and case crafted from stealthy forged carbon fibre.
- Keeping the dimensions of the previous 40mm models, it sports an integrated rubber strap with quick-release tabs.
- At US$995, it becomes one of the most expensive PRX models in the line-up, matching the price of the carbon-cased Sideral.

Jaeger-LeCoultre 101 Secrets
- Jaeger-LeCoultre’s most precious watch is imagined in the most precious metal, boasting a platinum case and bracelet.
- Set with 1,028 brilliant-cut diamonds, the 101 Secrets Platinum sports a hefty diamond weight of 26.21ct in total.
- It’s also interesting mechanically, powered by the smallest mechanical movement in the world, the JLC Calibre 101.

A. Lange & Söhne Datograph Up/Down Hampton Court Edition
- 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the first Lange chronograph, and this Datograph Up/Down crowns this achievement.
- This piece unique will be shown at Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace 2024 and will be auctioned off by Phillips.
- All proceeds from the Phillips auction, in Association with Bacs & Russo, will go to British charity The Prince’s Trust.

Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Australasian Limited Edition 2024 “Ichigo Ichie” SRPL20J
- Following on from the success of last year’s “Irori Moments”, Seiko collaborates with formative Australian whisky distillery Lark on a second Australasian limited edition.
- It’s named the “Ichigo Ichie”, which is a Japanese concept that expresses the fleeting, singular experience a good cocktail can be.
- It features a rose gold-plated steel case and an engraved radial sunray dial for a very dressy look.
Louis Erard x Kudoke Le Regulateur
- Louis Erard, a brand with a fruitful history of collaborating with independent watchmakers, this time joins forces with Germany’s Stefan Kudoke.
- This collaboration is expressed in four different watches: blue, purple, green, and mother-of-pearl.
- While purple and mother-of-pearl are limited to 78 pieces, the other two are limited to 100 each.

TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport
- The new Carrera Extreme Sport from TAG Heuer is the latest variant of the popular skeletonised Carrera Sport.
- These new iterations are offering lightweight (and precious) materials at an attractive price point.
- There are four different models available, while the design is the same, they differ in the case material, 18k rose gold or grade 2 titanium.

Breitling Chronomat NFL Collection
- For its biggest launch of the year, Breitling teams up with the NFL to produce Chronomat B01 42 watches inspired by team colours.
- There are 32 different references, one for each team, and each variant is limited to 104 pieces.
- All Chronomat NFL collection models are stainless steel, and have the team crest embedded within the 9 o’clock counter of its team colour-matching dial.

Carl Suchy & Söhne Belvedere Bordeaux & Champagne
- Austrian brand Carl Suchy & Söhne is adding two new models to the Belvedere collection, inspired by wine colours.
- Other than the dial and strap colour, the two watches share all other aspects, including the golden seconds hand.
- The dial is micro-engraved, and instead of having the date wheel rotate, the centre part of the dial itself rotates, letting you see the correct day.

- Rado playfully makes the most of its materials mastery with a monochrome high-tech ceramic duo.
