Studio Underd0g’s first British ‘Hand Delivered’ pizza party had watch fans asking for seconds
Jamie WeissThe Studio Underd0g x Time+Tide Hand Delivered is one of my favourite timepieces ever. Not only does it combine my two favourite things – pizza and watches – but it’s also a completely unique concept; an April Fool’s Day prank come to life that epitomises the fun and playful potential of the watch community. If you’re not familiar with this watch by now, check out our full guide to it here.
Anyway, as you may or may not know, the only way to get your hands on one of these “pizza watches” is either to visit the Time+Tide Discovery Studio in Melbourne (hard to do if you don’t live in Australia) or if you run into T+T’s founder Andrew McUtchen or Studio Underd0g’s founder Richard Benc in person, who will then hand-deliver you an exclusive QR code which can be used to purchase your watch. Is this a bonkers way to handle a watch release? Yes, but nobody ever accused us of being sane.

Thankfully, Richard has planned a bunch of “pizza parties” around the world so that watch fans have a chance to order some pizza (watches). In fact, he’s just held his first pizza party in Leeds, England, during a local RedBar meetup – and it was a huge success.
“Last week we headed up to Leeds to spend the evening with their local RedBar chapter and we couldn’t quite believe the number of enthusiasts that showed up despite the snow,” Richard tells Time+Tide. “Unsurprisingly, the two recently introduced Studio Underd0g x Time+Tide Hand Delivered pizza watches were the stars of the show. Now we’re really looking forward to our next event, where we’re headed to London for British Watchmakers’ Day!”
Richard also had plenty of stock of his new Series 02 Field watch to share with the British watch-buying public. Until now, the only place in the world where you were able to touch and feel a Series 02 Field in the flesh was, you guessed it, the Time+Tide Discovery Studio… So even if pineapple pizza isn’t your thing, there’s a Pink Lem0nade treat on the menu for these meetups, too.
Andrew’s also planning some pizza parties of his own, details of which we’ll be able to share with you in due season. We’ve also cooked up an exclusive range of Studio Underd0g x Time+Tide Hand Delivered merch, which is also only available through Time+Tide.
