Marcus Flack
Creative Director“Hi, I’m Marcus and I like watches like a woman like shoes. One for every occasion, feeling, outfit, mood. Just gotta work out a way to be able to afford such variety to go with the many moods that is me. Marcus. Hmmmm.”
Marcus got into watches in his 30s. He started buying em like a fashion item. He had no idea about the watch world and what was good value. His decisions where purely aesthetic. He’d been in film production since 1998. Marcus was asked to help Time and tide make their first video. And ever since his watch dive has only got deeper.
He can’t say how many watches he’s shot or how fast he shot em. So many in so little time. But every now and then something stands out and it says,”Wait a minute Marcus. Have a look at me.” Then Marcus picks up the belligerent piece and says,”Lemme have a closer look you, you feisty muppet.”
He’s a WATCH WEAPON when it comes to making films or pictures. The best in the business when it comes to showcasing a watch in a very sort amount of time. Part of the game we play at Time and Tide is brevity of time. So little time to shoot a time piece but hot dam he’s the best in the game when it comes to the time challenge. The YouTube channel is a testament to that story.
Oh and he also jumps out of planes.
First watch: some kind of Casio blue digital watch with reversed out screen. Circa 1985 Freaking bonkers.
Favourite watch: my Tudor Black Bay Steel & Gold
Finale watch: Strangely I’m not that driven to thinking about a finale watch. But maybe a JLC reverso tribute chronograph. So damn classy and perhaps the watch I would end with as after that, there’s not much else to lust after unless you wanna get weird.
