The Final Slice: the Studio Underd0g x Time+Tide Pizza Party is about to come to an end
Russell SheldrakeAll good things must come to an end. And so it is that we have to draw a line under what has been one of the most fun projects we’ve ever embarked on here at Time+Tide, our collaboration with Studio Underd0g that started life as an April Fools joke, then went on to become a fan favourite, and nearly caused stampedes at the various events it has been available at, is down to its final slice. But we will be going out with a bang.
We will be having one final Pizza Party, located in our brand new home, the Time+Tide London Discovery Studio. This will not only be the last chance to buy a hand-delivered “Pizza Watch”, but there will also be a special charity auction taking place at the same time. It will be an online auction that starts on November 20th and finishes on November 21st, during the final Pizza Party. So if you want to be in the room when the final bids come flying in, make sure you save the date of November 21st. There will be more details to come on exactly what this watch will be, so watch this space.
All the proceeds of this auction will be donated to charity. This continues the concept of this watch being community-focused, with it only ever being hand-delivered, as it works as a tool to bring all of us together around watches, which it has been doing since day one at the first-ever Pizza Party that we held in Melbourne at the start of this year.
Make sure you register now to be the first to know about the online auction going live and when the tickets for the final Pizza Party are available. We’ve had an incredible journey with the Pizza Watch over the course of this year, having seen just how enthusiastic everyone has been for it whenever Andrew or Richard have hand-delivered the watch. We weren’t sure if taking an April Fool’s joke and making it a reality is something the watch community would even want, given how old-school the industry can seem at times. But the way this watch has been embraced, praised, and celebrated by so many of you has proven to us that there is plenty of room left in watches for some levity and fun.
It’s been so exciting to see just what is possible when we take a joke and run with it, and we hope you’ve all enjoyed this just as much as we have. We hope to see you all on November 21st for the final bite of this pizza pie, and if you’re currently in New York, you might bump into Andrew and Richard who are around town attending WindUp right now.
