Hublot taste the rainbow in Geneva with a cavalcade of colourful Watches and Wonders releases
Jamie WeissI often feel a little bit sorry for the LVMH brands that exhibit at LVMH Watch Week at the start of the year, because it means they need to – rather promptly – follow those releases up with similarly strong releases at Watches and Wonders only a few months later. Thankfully, Hublot’s made of stern stuff and has risen to the occasion this year with a veritable boatload of colour-forward releases in Geneva, including an exciting new take on the MP-11, returning that model to the range after a 6-year absence.
MP-11 Water Blue Sapphire

- First released at Baselworld 2018, the MP-11 makes its grand return to the Hublot range, this time with an icy blue sapphire case.
- A limited edition of 50 pieces, this impressive watch features seven co-axial, vertical barrels, which gives it a 336-hour power reserve (two weeks!)
- Despite this, it features a reasonably conventional thickness of 12mm, with the barrels extending out to 14.4mm.

- This latest collaboration with tattooist Maxime Plescia-Buchi’s creative agency sees the already eye-catching Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu get a full sapphire case.

Big Bang Integrated Time Only 38mm
- The sveltest Big Bang gets svelter still, with the introduction of a smaller 38mm diameter.
- These 38mm models also herald the first solid dials for the collection.
- They’re powered by the new HUB1115: it’s Sellita-based, but heavily modified by Hublot to include a stronger mainspring that allows the power reserve to extend to 48 hours, a new winding rotor bearing, and nicer decoration.

Big Bang Unico Orange Ceramic
- A first-ever for Hublot, for any collection, the Big Bang Unico is now available in a new orange ceramic colourway.
- Orange is a seldom-seen colour for ceramics – a testament to Hublot’s expertise with ceramics.
- Like other Big Bang Unico models, it features a 42mm case that is 14.5mm thick and 100 metres water-resistant and is powered by the MHUB1280 Unico flyback column-wheel chronograph calibre with 72 hours of power reserve.

- For the first time, we now have a Big Bang Unico in pink sapphire with no diamonds.
- Small amounts of titanium are used in its construction alongside its full sapphire case.
- It’s slightly less water-resistant than other Unico models with a 50-metre rating rather than 100 metres – but it’s also much lighter on the wrist.

- This techy tonneau-shaped tourbillon gets a sporty new orange look – it seems orange is all the rage!
- Its forged carbon fibre case is mottled with orange micro-glass fibres, woven on three planes, while its dial features orange highlights.

Square Bang Unico Full Magic Gold and Ceramic Magic Gold
- A subtle Square Bang Unico update for 2024, the collection now adds Hublot’s Magic Gold into the mix for the first time – a more yellow hue than the previously available models in King Gold.
- Two versions are available: a full Magic Gold model, as well as a black ceramic model with a Magic Gold bezel.
- Their gold hands and indices contrast nicely against the black PVD and titanium elements of their openworked dials, resulting in higher legibility.
